Amazingly, pure peppermint oil scrambles the senses of insects,
leaving them disoriented, unable to breed, feed or breathe. We
have actually seen aphids land on treated rose buds, scramble
around for 15 minutes and fly away! Add to that, pure canola oil
as a miticide and potassium bicarbonate as an organic buffer.
Please test first on ornamentals. For best results, water well in
the a.m. Then at dusk, spray a fine even mist on leaves top and
bottom canes and if you have blackspot) the soil at the base of
the rose. Do not overspray.
Rose Pharm
Dear Pharm Solutions Inc.,
thought I would share with you some of my experiences and observations after using Rose Pharm for the past 8
weeks. When I began growing roses, 18 years ago, I quickly acquired ------plants and over the past 5 years
have downsized to only 65 remaining.
I sell my blooms commercially to florists, so, yield, quality of bloom and foliage are very important.
I started the season spraying Trifori and Aliette in April for three applications and still found some tainted
(blackspot) lower leaves after my three TOXIC sprays. In early May I applied Rose Pharm concentrate for the
first time. In this spraying I included some Bacillus Thuringiensis to fight the worms. It usually takes several
applications of BT during a 10-14 day period to completely eliminate worms. This time, they never reappeared
after the first spraying with Rose Pharm ! Interestingly, I miscalculated the dilution amount and have only used
11/4 cups of Rose Pharm Concentrate to 2 gallons of water.
I have watched as the purply-red downy mildew spores blacken and die; have had NO BLACKSPOT & the leaves
appear greener, shinier and happier after each application of Rose Pharm. Amazingly the deer and rabbits have
not touched my roses!
The thrip population is reduced by 4/5ths and I have just started an experiment, spraying just the buds with a dilution of one cup of concentrate to one
gallon of water, every three days. I will let you know how this works out.
I have seen lady bugs, green lace wings, green lace wing larvae, maiden bugs and praying mantis on the rose bushes in small quantities, as they are
probably not finding much to eat.. I have also watched the little leaf cutter bees move from leaf to leaf without a single bite.
Blackspot, downy mildew, thrips, and deer damage are my biggest challenges and so far, with a weekly application of Rose Pharm things are looking VERY
ENCOURAGING ! Added to that comes the pleasure of spraying without having to wear a ventilator mask and gloves.
I especially love the consistently healthy looking foliage which normally looks a little less happy after each application of toxic chemicals.
I shall re-contact you with an insect and fungus update in the fall. So far, I AM THRILLED !
